2 Timothy 1:7 Kind of People

2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity and fear but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
I can remember thinking of this verse and reciting it using it to overcome being timid in many phases of my life.
But this week I have had it repeated several times focusing on the act of self-discipline.

Am I living a life of self-discipline…in my spiritual life, in my physical life, in my social life?
Am I spending quality time in the Word daily?
Am I exercising?
Am I eating healthy?
Am I getting enough rest?
Am I sabbathing?
Am I being disciplined with my money—spending and saving?
Am I hanging out with people just for the sake of having someone to hang out with or is there meaning there?

I am asking myself these questions, and I encourage you to as well!  Are we being 2 Timothy 1:7 kind of people?

Yes!! I love this verse! Such a great one to use with the boys in so many areas and I love the focus you have…one of the things I am praying for in our lives around here…especially mom’s life and heart…self-discipline!
